BIOL 2221: Cell Biology This course emphasizes mechanisms of intracellular and intercellular communication. The diversity of cell proteins is highlighted, as are the features of cellular metabolism and survival. We integrate the experimental evidence that underlies metabolism and communication with current models of cellular function. At the end of the course we contrast the cell's role in normal and pathophysiologic conditions. Three hours per week. 3 credits
