There will be
4 examinations (each worth 100 points) and a comprehensive final exam
(also 100 points). In addition, there will be four unannounced quizzes
(each worth 25 points) that will be administered during the regular lecture
period. The quizzes will be administered at Dr Blake's discretion,
and will be announced at the beginning of a particular class period.
Your final grade for Cell Biology is based upon 600 points: 4 exams at 100 points each, 1 final exam (100 points) and 4 quizzes (25 points each).
The following determines your grade:

| 416 - 360 | D |

An unexcused absence from an exam or quiz results in a "0". Excused absences require written documentation, and the make-up exam will occur within 48 hours of the missed exam. The missed exam can be administered in either essay format or viva voce at Dr Blake's discretion. I will personally contact the medical professionals that sign any health-related exam absences.
Cheating in this course is not tolerated and the penalty is harsh.
